BIAB, or Builder in a Bottle, is a gel-like nail polish used to strengthen natural nails. It’s applied as an overlay that’s thicker than regular gel polish and dries into a durable layer. BIAB can be used for short to mid-length manicures and can last around three to four weeks. This product should be used after nail prep is completed and with a base and top coat. Cure for a minimum of 60 seconds with a full sized lamp.

When used correctly and following the manufacturer’s instructions, Builder in a Bottle (BIAB) is generally considered safe for most people. However, it’s always advisable to exercise caution and consider potential risks associated with any beauty product. Here are some tips for using BIAB safely:
- Apply in thin layers: Thick layers can increase the chance of under-curing and heat spikes.
- Avoid thick build-up: Don’t apply too much product around the cuticle area or free edge.
- Cure one nail at a time: Turn your hand over to help create the apex if needed.
- Use the correct lamp: Please use a full sized lamp and not a flash cure lamp or mini lamp. For UV lamps cure for 60 seconds for LED lamps cure for 2 minutes.
- Prepare your nails: Clean, push back cuticles, file, buff, and dehydrate your nails before applying BIAB. Lightly buffing can help the BIAB adhere better.
